Cost convention to discuss latest challenges

Chennai: The three day National Cost Convention beginning here on January 4 will discuss the latest challenges facing the cost accounting profession in the wake of globalisation.

"The conference will particularly focus on how to rebuild the image of accounting profession which had of late been marred by some serious scandals," B V Ramanamurthy, president of The Indian Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWAI), organisers of the conference told reporters on January 2.

"Globalising management accounting – new paradigms for new economic order" will be the theme of the conference to be inaugurated by the Tamil Nadu Governor P S Ram Mohan Rao.
