Bangalore: McDowell’s Signature Rare Whisky mobile bar pack has bagged the Indian
Institute of Packaging's 'Indiastar Award 2002' for its innovative concept, visual
appeal and convenience, according to an official press release from McDowell.
The award is given away annually for excellence in packaging of products. The award
is bestowed on industries to encourage improvements and give recognition to
innovative concepts in packaging.
The award makes the winner eligible for the Asiastar and Worldstar awards organised
by the Asian Packaging Organisation and World Packaging Organisation respectively,
the release said. Till 2001 Indian entries have won 86 Asiastar and 77 Worldstar
awards.
Designed by Peal Polymer, the McDowell’s Signature mobile bar is easy to carry and
has space for the bottle as well as a glass, the release said.
This is the third time McDowell’s Signature Rare Whisky is winning the 'Indiastar
Award' the first one for the trademark green Signature canister and the second for
the twin pack offer, the release added.
