B'lore to host construction industry expo from Dec 15

Bangalore: The Confederation of Indian (CII) along with the government of Karnataka will organise an international exhibition cum conference on “construction equipment and construction technologies”, according to CII chairman M Lakshminarayan.

Named EXCON 2002, the exhibition will be held between December 16 to 19 at the Palace ground in Bangalore.

"The exhibition has been conceived as a global forum for manufacturers and user communities in the construction industry to show case the tremendous opportunities available in this sector," Lakshinarayan said in a press release.

About 125 domestic and foreign companies are expected to participate in the exhibition to be held on an area spread over 30,000 square metres. "These companies are best known in equipment manufacturing, suppliers to manufacturers, government organisations related to infrastructure and asset financing," Lakshminarayan added.

Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna is expected to inaugurate the exhibition on December 15, the press release added.
