WB warns India on fiscal deficit, slow reforms
Washington: World Bank has warned India that its growth prospects are weakened by high fiscal deficits and slow reforms, and the country needs to accelerate poverty reduction efforts, especially in UP, Bihar and MP, to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).

Mumbai: The Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) on December 10 said industrial production growth is likely to decline in the second half of the current fiscal while the first advanced estimate of Kharif crop showed a 10 per cent drop in food production.
