Petrol, diesel prices slashed by upto 72 paise

New Delhi: State-run oil companies on November 30 slashed petrol and diesel prices by 59 to 72 paise per litre, effective from midnight November 30.

Petrol would cost Rs 28.91 per litre in Delhi as against the prevailing Rs 29.57 a litre while diesel price has come down from Rs 18.57 to Rs 18.06 per litre, official sources said.

Petrol price in Kolkata has been reduced by 59 paise to Rs 30.42 per litre while in Mumbai a litre of petrol would cost Rs 33.63 as opposed to the prevailing Rs 34.23. Chennai saw a 60 paise per litre reduction in petrol price to Rs 31.45.

Diesel price in Kolkata fell from Rs 19.96 to Rs 19.43 per litre. In Mumbai, the fall was of 72 paise per litre to Rs 23.03 while in Chennai, diesel price fell from Rs 20.43 per litre to Rs 19.83 per litre.
