New Delhi: Hewlett-Packard India Pvt Ltd announced that it is the Platinum sponsor for India's premier Linux and OpenSource event- Linux Bangalore-2002, according to an official press release.

Linux Bangalore-2002 is scheduled to be held on December 3-5, 2002, at the J N Tata Auditorium (IISc) in Bangalore. Organised by the Bangalore Linux User Group, this national event conducted annually, and sees participation by thousands of delegates from across India and the world, the release added.

The event will feature numerous sessions and panel discussions that will expose developers, users, corporate IT decision makers and government agencies to the latest in Linux and OpenSource based technologies and developments. Eminent industry experts and Linux community speakers would be speaking at the event.

HP's multi-OS strategy provides a wide choice of operating environments for diverse applications from enterprise to desktop. HP will be showcasing its entire suite of offerings and solutions that run and operate on Linux platform at the event, the release added.
