Bangalore: Adhunik Power Systems, an ISO 9001 accredited company, has devised 'Adhunik Power Interface Unit', a total alternate current (AC) power interface solution aiming to minimise the use of diesel generator (DG) set and ensure uninterrupted, low maintenance, transient free operations of communication sites, according to an official press release.

The Power Interface Unit (PIU), integrates all the essential constituents within a single rack for both single phase and three phase to support total automation of the site. The unit efficiency and management provides major savings in terms of electricity consumption, generator operation and manpower requirement, at the same time facilitates complete protection to the telecom site. There are 700 PIUs working on field, the release said.

"Innovation, quality and customer support gave Adhunik an edge to satisfy high-tech telecom need. On the same track PIU is one of the milestone in telecom power arena in Indian industry," Adhunik Power Systems director Manoj Upadhyay said.
