IA, Nepal board offer attractive holiday package
Monday, November 18 2002 02:51 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: Indian Airlines (IA) and Nepal Tourism Board on November 19 announced an attractive holiday package for the Himalayan Kingdom for travellers from various cities of India including the four metros.

The 'Mega Kathmandu Holiday Package', on offer from now till March end next year, would be a four-day affair and include return airfare, bed, breakfast and sight- seeing tours.

"Nepal is one of the few destinations where Indian Airlines has launched such attractive packages and this package will benefit both the carrier and the Nepal Tourism Board as the major component of tourists to Nepal are from India," IA's station manager in Nepal, Nirbhik Rai Narang, said in a statement.

He said that the package rates varied according to the ratings and facilities of the hotels as also from which city the passenger embarks on his flight to Kathmandu.

The packages range from Rs 7,300 for a three-day trip from Kolkata to Rs 31,875 for a four-day one from Kochi. The Delhi package works out to an all-inclusive rate from Rs 10,115 to Rs 14,080.

Besides the metros, travellers from Coimbatore, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Cochin and Amritsar can also avail this package.
