Bangalore: Wipro Limited and Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd, on October 30
announced that the two companies would work together to build on Wipro's existing
competencies on Microsoft's .NET framework.
In addition, Wipro announced that through this initiative the company would have
over 100 software architects on the .NET framework by the end of the year. To launch
this effort, Wipro on October 30 inaugurated a Microsoft Advanced Competency Centre
(MACC) for .NET.
The MACC is located at the Floating Learning Centre of Wipro's Electronic City
campus in Bangalore and would serve as the hub of all .NET related development
activities in the company, a joint release said.
Oriando Ayala, vice-president (global sales), Microsoft Corpoartion and Rajiv Kaul,
managing director, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt, Ltd, visited the Centre along
with Wipro chairman Azim Premji.
