HP to tap entry-level consumer PC market in India

New Delhi: Hewlett-Packard India Private Limited, (HP) has announced its initiatives of bundling to tap the entry-level consumer personal computer (PC) market in India.

HP has introduced a bundle deal, which includes Compaq Presario desktop 3353, HP deskjet 3325 printer and a web camera, at a price of Rs 38,990, according to an official press release.

The Presario 3353 has an AMD Athlon XP 1600 processor, 40 GB hard drive, and 128 MB DDR SynchDRAM memory with Microsoft Windows XP Home. The HP DJ 3325, with a space saving design that offers great results on plain paper, brilliant colours and true black text. The printer is ideal for e-mail, Internet printing, photo printing and other home projects, the release said.

Available across India through HP's retail outlets, this move is aimed at providing a total solution for all computing needs of the home user.

"We are providing home users an opportunity to make that smart investment of seeking premium performance at a great price," said P V Viswanath, country business manager.
