Infosys engages consulting firm to fine-tune CRM

Bangalore: Infosys Technologies' Banking Business unit on October 24 announced that it has engaged Peppers and Rogers group to fine-tune the recently launched Finacle CRM to best suit what was described as the purpose of Banking CRM software manage customer profitability.

According to Girish Vaidya, head, banking business unit and Tim Tyler, founder and chairperson, Pepper and Rogers Group (Asia), while banks and IT vendors always state customer satisfaction as their main reason for considering a CRM package, banks need to differentiate between managing customers for loyalty and managing customers for profit.

Peppers and Rogers Group is a leading international consulting firm recognised as the world's leading authority on customer-based business strategy, an Infosys release said.

Tyler identified the major drivers of banking CRM software as personalised services, personalised products and relevance to customer needs, especially for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI).

He said the number of HNWI in Asia has been significantly increasing and India stands in fourth place in APAC region with respect to the number of HNWIs (Australia, China and South Korea are rated in the first three places).
