Tuesday, September 24 2002 17:09 Hrs (IST)

Chennai: Hewlett Packard India Pvt Ltd is to consolidate its channel partner network in India for focussed engagement with customers and wholesalers for better distribution of its storage solutions.

"The idea is to exploit the emerging storage market to the maximum, especially in segments like banking, extended manufacturing, telecom and software," Avijit Basu, marketing manager of HP's Network Storage Solutions (NSS) told reporters in Chennai on September 24.

He said the company had recently launched new storage products like SAN Disk Array VA7410 and a new range of NAS solutions, which increased the storage efficiency and optimised storage performance, availability and scalability.

Stating that the company enjoyed over 50 per cent of the domestic storage market, he said the company was pursuing a holistic approach that focuses on technical innovation, truly heterogeneous solutions and stress-free storage services.
