Big Bazaar's 'home festival' for 'Dasara' begins

Bangalore: Big Bazaar, the one-stop shop in Koramangala is hosting a 'home festival', which is first of its kind extravaganza in the country. The sale, from September 14 and October 7, targets all those looking to revamp their houses for 'Dasara', according to a press release.

All products required to give a new look to one's home are all under one roof and at big discounts, the release said. Homemakers can step into the comfortably air- conditioned atmosphere of Big Bazaar, and shop with music in the background.

Homemakers can choose to a buy pressure cooker with 70 per cent of the maximum retail price thrown in as free gifts, get non-stick cookware at 50 per cent off, a microwave oven at 30 per cent off, or exchange the old mixer grinder for a new one.

Traditional and contemporary hand painted designs in bed sheets and bed covers can be chosen. Shoppers can exchange old washing machine for a brand new one, and in the bargain even get a free iron box.

Homemakers can make buy carpets in traditional floral and abstract muted designs from Rs 440 onwards, the release said.

Shoppers can even take part in the in store contests and get their homes painted for free or win some attractive gifts like a free holiday for three days and two nights in attractive locales, the release added.
