Bangalore: A new forum, India Singapore (Asia Pacific) Technopreneurs Association
(INSTAR), was launched in Bangalore on September 18 with the aim of fostering cross-
border business alliances between India, Singapore and China and helping in funding
of companies.
The forum, seeking to build a "powerful tri-marketing axis" between the three
countries, would open offices in Singapore and China, apart from the one existing in
Bangalore, INSTAR president Mathew John told reporters on September 18.
John, a Singapore-based technopreneur and managing director of Equinox Venture
Partners, said INSTAR would help in funding of companies in areas including biotech,
IT and life sciences.
The forum had conceptualised a cross-border marketing programme and would
collaborate with the Indian Institute of Management to conduct the programme, he
said.
