Monday, July 22 2002 15:51 Hrs (IST)

Bangalore: IBM India on July 22 announced a knowledge sharing arrangement with Infosys Technologies Limited under the aegis of the developer marketing initiative led by the former and the knowledge management (KM) group at the latter.

"The aim of this relationship is to build skills and exposure on leading and emerging technologies", an IBM India statement said here.

The relationship, it said, would help Infosys employees to develop applications and deliver solutions on the IBM platform using the latest standards such as web services.

The initiative was launched at Infosys' corporate headquarters in Bangalore through the first 'IBM developer works Web Services Seminar'.

The two companies would organise a series of educational seminars for their employees on leading and emerging technologies such as IBM solutions for web services, applZservers, frameworks for application development and other topics like legacy integration.

The companies would initially focus on four activities- seminars, skills development, knowledge sharing and technology resources, it was stated.
