PTC awards: Mumbai firm bags 'electronics' award

Bangalore: PTC, the product development company, recently announced the winners of its 10th annual PTC awards competition at the 2002 PTC/User International Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. V&V Design, incorporated in Mumbai in 1993, won the award in the electronics category from amongst hundreds of entries all over the world, according to an official press release.

V&V Design is engaged in turning bleeding-edge technologies into consumer electronics and communication products. For the competition, V&V designed a desktop videophone that features a built-in high-resolution video screen, video camera, touch-tone phone system, and privacy mode that allows users to disable outgoing video. Options include caller ID, and Picture in Picture to enable adjustment of picture quality, size and frame rate, the release said.

Manoj Karam, general manager, V&V Design, said the plug-and-play system delivers convenient, cost-effective, high-quality audio and video face-to-face communication.

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company design of its VRSCA V-Rod Motorcycle received the award for Best Overall entry.
