Bangalore: Cellnext Solutions Limited has deployed SMS based applications for Escotel, Spice and Hexacom to provide real time FIFA World Cup-2002 updates and other fun options for their subscribers, according to an official press release.

The new service sends real time alerts to the subscriber's cellphone. The goals, red cards, fouls and all such moves are sent in real time to the cellphone via SMS. Cellnext's new service also provides the day’s match summaries over SMS. Escotel, Spice Punjab & Karnataka and Hexacom Rajasthan are purveying this service on the World Cup 02 among others, the release said.

Cellnext’s alerts capture World Cup related breaking news and match results. A match alert 15 to 30 minutes before the start of the match is sent out. And if two or more matches are being played simultaneously, the alerts for these are clubbed in one.

A special soccer chat room has also been created and there are exciting games and contests, the release added.
