Bangalore: Progeon, an Infosys subsidiary, on June 4 announced that it has entered
into an agreement with GreenPoint Mortgage to provide business process management
services. Under the agreement, Progeon will provide GreenPoint with certain mortgage
back office functions, according to an official press release.
As part of the contract, Progeon has established an extended process operations
centre (EPOC) dedicated to GreenPoint at its state-of-the-art facilities in
Bangalore.
Recently, Infosys provided GreenPoint with business and technology consulting
services that helped GreenPoint enhance the efficiency of its loan processing
operations and reduce operating costs.
"We were looking for a partner who would give us a competitive advantage in our back
office capabilities," said S A Ibrahim, president and CEO of GreenPoint Mortgage.
"By contracting certain activities to Progeon, we will be able to increase our
capacity and growth potential on a more cost-effective basis. In addition, we can
achieve that while maintaining a high level of service to our customers."
