Company (DPC) only after signing a fresh power purchase agreement (PPA) with the new
buyer of power project in coastal Konkan, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh said on
April 30.
The government would sign a new PPA and make efforts to amend mistakes committed
while finalising the earlier PPA, Deshmukh told reporters at Vidhan Bhavan on the
concluding day of the budget session of the state Legislature.
The government was willing to buy electricity at the rate of Rs 2.25-Rs 2.50 per

He, however, made it clear that the state government can off take power from the
first phase of DPC and not the second phase.
Though the government was willing to buy electricity at Rs 2.25-Rs 2.50 per unit,
the rate would be finalised with the new management.
Also, the PPA would have to be get approved by the state electricity regulatory
