EU projects 2.9 pc growth for Euro zone by 2003
Brussels: The Euro-zone economy is set to grow by 1.4 per cent in 2002 and by 2.9 per cent in 2003, the EU Commission said on April 24, bolstering signals from Germany and the European Central Bank that recovery has replaced weakness at the end of 2001.

GDP growth in 9th Plan less than previous 3 plans
New Delhi: India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by a lower rate of 5.4 per cent per annum during the Ninth Five Year Plan (1997-2002) compared to 5.6 to 6.7 per cent growth achieved in the previous three Plan periods.
