P&G launches Advanced Ariel Compact
Friday, April 5 2002 18:58 Hrs (IST)

Mumbai: Procter & Gamble Home Products Limited (PGHP) announces the launch of a special Ariel Bar Refund offer along with its new Advanced Ariel Compact. Under the Ariel Bar Refund Offer, consumers can exchange their detergent bar on purchase of Advanced Ariel Compact’s 1kg and 500 gms packs, and avail of a Rs 15 and Rs 7 discount respectively on MRP.

It is claimed that Advanced Ariel Compact removes stains that other ordinary detergents leave behind and eliminates staining and scrubbing that a detergent-bar calls for.

According to the Procter & Gamble’s research among a cross-section of Indian housewives, across metros indicated that the single-most unmet need in washing is stain removal. The typical Indian housewife still believes that the best way to get clothes clean is to scrub.

P&G claims that scrubbing can be eliminated by using Advanced Ariel Compact. Ariel’s revolutionary “Smart Eyes” technology automatically searches out stained areas, loosens the bond between the staining substance and cloth and completely removes stains that the bar and other detergents might leave behind, says the company release.

Commenting on the launch of this offer, Anthony Rose, Senior Manager, Public Affairs (P&G) said, “Our research indicated that the one thing the Indian housewife does not wish to compromise is the cleanliness of her family’s clothes. We hence, launched the Advanced Ariel Compact, which completely removes stains. The Ariel Bar Refund Offer provides an opportunity to housewives to shift from the stressful activity of scrubbing with a bar and switch to Advanced Ariel Compact."
