BayPackets Inc. to expand India operations
Wednesday, March 13 2002 15:06 Hrs (IST)

New Delhi: BayPackets Inc. on March 13 announced the expansion of its India operations. BayPackets is a developer and marketer of integrated, carrier-grade service deployment platform that accelerates revenue-generating network-based service delivery. Over the next three years the company plans to invest over $15 million in its Indian subsidiary. The move will initiate its entry into the burgeoning telecom market in India.

Launching BayPacket’s enhanced voice solutions, Ken Epps, President and CEO, said that the telecom industry in India and the Asia Pacific region continued to deregulate. This has intensified competition which will make service differentiation increasingly important to service providers.

Ken added, "The opportunity for enhanced voice services in India and APAC region is expected to explode as service providers look for ways to generate revenues on their wireless and wireline network infrastructure. BayPackets is positioned well to capitalize on this opportunity with its network-independent, enhanced voice solutions for rapid revenue generation."

Sanjeev Chawla, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, BayPackets, said, "We are going to leverage BayPackets' India subsidiary as the main business and support hub for the Asia Pacific region and expand our development efforts to include enhanced wireless applications for the global market."
