Britain’s Lloyds bank to axe 3,000 jobs
London: Britain's largest retail bank, Lloyds TSB, on February 15 said that it was axing 3,000 jobs after profits fell eight per cent in 2001, squeezed by its exposure to the Argentina economic crisis.

Asian coffee majors moot tripartite meet
Bangalore: India, Vietnam and Indonesia, three major coffee producers of Asia, are likely to hold a tripartite meeting shortly to evolve a common strategy to promote their coffee in the international market.
