New Delhi: Citrix Systems Inc (Nasdaq: CTXS), a global leader in application serving
and portal software and services on February 12 announced that it has joined the
Microsoft® Windows® Embedded Partner (WEP) Program as a Gold-level Member, the
highest level granted to Microsoft's best-in-class Windows Embedded partners.
Citrix's membership in this exclusive worldwide program demonstrates the expertise
the company brings to the market for Windows Powered device solutions via its
Citrix® Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) protocol. Windows Powered devices
with ICA integrate seamlessly with the Citrix MetaFrame® family of application
serving products.
"It is an honour to be selected by Microsoft as a Gold-level Member of its WEP
Program," said Paul Hahn, director of corporate development for Citrix.
"This recognition demonstrates the continued strength of our relationship with
Microsoft's Embedded and Appliance Platforms Group and the advantages our
application serving solutions provide to customers building embedded Windows
solutions."
The WEP Gold Member level was established to enable customers to more easily
identify companies that have demonstrated excellence in building and enabling
Windows Powered solutions.
Citrix was selected based on the breadth of its enhanced application server
computing solutions and its ongoing commitment to the use of Windows technologies in
the embedded market. As a Gold Member, Citrix is afforded benefits including
priority in strategic leads and referrals, a broad range of joint technical,
marketing and sales activities, and increased overall visibility through top-tier,
elite branding on the dedicated WEP Gold Web page.
