February 8 announced that its Bangalore-based customer contact centre became the
first in India to earn the highly sought after COPC-2000 certification for its
inbound e-mail services and conditional certification for its inbound voice customer
service and outbound voice telemarketing services.
"After spending an year preparing all performance metrics, processes, people,
planning, and leadership to meet the stringent standards associated with this
achievement, 24/7 Customer.com received COPC-2001 certification in December 2001,"

"The COPC-2000 Standard was developed in 1995/96 by individuals from Microsoft
(Nasdaq: MSFT), Motorola (NYSE: MOT), American Express (NYSE: AXP), L L Bean, and
other customer-focused companies, who were concerned with the level of service
quality provided to customers by customer service provider organisations," the
release said.
