FIIs offload equities worth Rs 762.94 crore on BSE

Mumbai: Foreign Institutional Investors today shed equities worth Rs 762.94 crore amid the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex closing down by 3.68 per cent at 8,451.01 points.

FIIs sold equities worth Rs 1,761.17 crore and invested in shares valued at Rs 998.23 crore, resulting in the net sale of Rs 762.94 crore in the stock market.

FIIs had offloaded shares worth Rs 208.10 crore yesterday in the market, as per the latest data available on the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

However, the mood of the domestic institutional investors was positive as they invested in shares valued at Rs 426.95 crore.

Among other categories, brokers, proprietors and non-resident Indians invested in equities worth Rs 119.97 crore, Rs 3.83 crore and Rs 0.23 crore respectively.
