New Delhi: Anil Ambani group promoted direct-to-home operator Big TV today said it has roped a network of around 1,00,000 outlets across 10,000 towns for sale of its recharge vouchers (RCVs).
Big TV has networked these 1,00,000 outlets on the model of strategy adopted by the telecom operators to sell their RCVs at local grocery stores, gift stores, and utility stores, a company press release said.
The company further said that the existing network of 1,00,000 retailers, 250 Reliance Web Worlds, 219 Reliance Mobile Stores, and 40,000-odd telecom outlets which are sales points for the BIG TV DTH service will also stock the RCVs.
Apart from this, the company is also exploring possibilities of recharging online or through the mobile phone, said the company.
Commenting on it Reliance Communications President Application Services Group Mahesh Prasad said, the endeavour is to get as close as possible to our customer's doorstep with the RCVs.
"The biggest hurdle in the growth of the DTH services in India was the accessibility. We changed the paradigm when we launched across 6,500 towns with 100,000 retail outlets which ensured easy access for customers," said Prasad.
