Mumbai: Public sector lender Andhra Bank today said its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 grew by 7 per cent at Rs 161.53 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The bank had a net profit of Rs 151.21 crore for the September quarter last fiscal, Andhra Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income rose to Rs 1,463.53 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1,183.41 crore for the same period last year.
For the six-month ended September 30,Andhra Bank posted a net profit of Rs 239.15 crore, an 18 per cent decline over the corresponding period a year ago. It had a net profit of Rs 292.30 crore for the same period last financial year.
Total income rose to Rs 2,739.57 crore for the six-month ended September 30,from Rs 2,285.32 for the same period a year ago.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 42.10,up 3.31 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE. Source : PTI |
