Mumbai: Prices of groundnut oil declined moderately on the oils and oilseeds market here today due to lack of demand from retailers amidst good supply from producing regions.

Refined Palmolein moved down in the absence of good buying support.

Castorseeds bold and its oil also eased owing to lack of inquiries from shippers and soap manufacturers.

While, castorseeds futures moved up on good export inquiries.

In the edible section, groundnut oil fell by Rs 5 to Rs 645 from the yesterday s closing level of Rs 650 and Refined palmolein also looked down by Rs 3 to Rs 412 from Rs 415 yesterday.

In the non-edible section, Castorseeds bold declined by Rs 20 to Rs 3,225 from Rs 3,245 and castoroil commercial also fell by Rs 4 to Rs 675 from Rs 679 previously.

Linseed oil, however, ruled steady at Rs 660.

Moving to the futures section, Castorseeds December contract opened lower at Rs 2,956 but, later recovered smartly to close at Rs 2,984 from Rs 2,970 previously, showing a gain of Rs 14.
