Ashok Leyland sales up 9.7% in June

Chennai: India's second largest commercial vehicle manufacturerAshok Leyland has posted a 9.7 percent increase in volumes in June 2008 as compared to the corresponding period last year.

Last month, the company sold 7,144 units (domestic 6.435 units, exports 709 units) as against 6.510 units (domestic 5.816 units, exports 694 units) in June 2007.

In May 2008, Ashok Leyland sold 5,576 units (domestic 5,161 units, exports 415 units).
