Woodlands to infuse Rs 20 cr on modernisation

Kolkata: Woodlands hospital would infuse Rs 20 crore in modernisation and introduction of new diagonistic facilities during the current year. "We are upgrading and adding new facilities to make Woodlands the best in the industry," Woodlands CEO A K Banerji said.

"We will acquire the latest 3 Tesla MRI as well as first Dual Source 64 Slice CT scan, a digital X-Ray system we expect to revolutionise the diagnostic and treatment facilities," he said. The hospital was also in the process of renovating the neonatal intensive care unit and would commission a world class pediatric intensive care unit by this year.

"Woodlands has a vision for ethical treatment with care and transparency which is our service motto," Banerji said. Woodlands hospital is run by an independed board selected from 600 corporate shareholders here including ITC, RPG, Tolly Club and Tata Tea.
