Punjab-based co to open fresh juice retail outlets

Chandigarh: Punjab-based Bloom Juices today said it plans to open 10 retail outlets of fresh juices in northern region with an investment of Rs 10 crore in its first year of operation.

The outlets, Bloom, would offer an array of fruit juices, health food and 100 per cent organic ayurveda-based health boosters formulated by experienced ayurvedic doctors, Bloom Juices Private Limited CEO and President Amit Sharma told reporters here.

"We have made sure that all our products have all natural ingredients like fresh fruits and dairy products and free from chemical preservatives of all kinds," he said.

In the first year of operation, the company plans to open outlets in cities like Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Panchkula and Delhi, he said.

Keen to have pan India presence, it is planning to infuse Rs 100-200 crore through private equity placement for the next phase of expansion programme. "We will raise Rs 100-200 crore through private equity placement next year for expanding our presence across the country," he said.

On being asked about the size of the juice market, he said, "The demand for shelf stable juices in India is Rs 7000 crore per annum which is growing at a tremendous pace of 50 per cent."
