Mumbai: Engineering firm Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) bagged orders worth Rs 344 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for construction related works.
L&T secured the order for construction of 755 km of transmission lines associated with Western Region System Strengthening Scheme-II to be completed in 30 months, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The project would be executed by L&T's engineering construction and contracts division and would involve survey fabrication and supply of towers and erection of 400 kv direct current transmission lines from Bhadrawati - Umarkhand - Parli and the Raipur - Sakoli - Wardha line in Maharashtra.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 3,239, up 3.12 per cent on the BSE in morning trade.
