Mumbai: Sensex closed at 17,490, down 109 pts.

Earlier, the benchmark of Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex today opened 73 pts up at 17,673 pts.

Major stocks like Reliance, Reliance Petro, RCom, TCS and Satyam showed good opening.

Nifty also opened 13 pts up at 5,241 pts.
