Mumbai: GMR Infrastructure Ltd today said that its subsidiary, Delhi International Airport Pvt Ltd, has selected Indraprastha Apollo Hospital to provide medical facilities to air passengers and employees at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The Apollo Hospital would set up medical units, provide emergency ambulance service and run a round-the-clock pharmacy at the international airport, the company today said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
DIAL has tied up with Apollo Hospital for facilities like medical emergencies, aviation medicine consultancy services and routine care at the airport, it said.
The hospital would set up a four-bedded medical centre each at domestic and international terminals with basic first-aid, stabilising facilities and modern, automatic machines to handle acute medical emergencies.
A casualty evacuation centre at domestic arrival and three-advanced life saving ambulances for mobility on airside and city-side would be made available with doctors and paramedics round the clock at the airport.
Besides, a 24-hour pharmacy would be located at domestic arrival terminal along with disaster management and emergency services round the clock, it said.
Other facilities include aviation medicine consultancy services, medical examinations, accreditation with domestic / international hospitals / associations enabling domestic / international passengers to avail insurance claims, it said. Source : PTI |
