Patel Energy eyes capacity augmentation

New Delhi: Patel Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of Mumbai-based infrastructure construction firm Patel Engineering Ltd, today said it targets capacity addition of 15,000 MW of electricity by the next ten years in a phased manner.

"We aim to produce 15,000 MW of electricity by the next ten years," Patel Energy CEO S C Sharma told reporters on the sidelines of a Hydro Vision 2008 function here.

The power will be produced through both hydro and thermal ways, he said. The projects will be funded through internal accruals initially, Sharma added.
