New Delhi: The country's largest agri-commodity exchange National Commodity and Derivatives Exchanges will launch gold coin futures in mid-April.
"We will introduce futures trading in gold coin in another 3-4 weeks," Chief Executive P H Ravikumar said.
Ravikumar said the commodity market regulator has given permission to launch 8 gram gold coins contract. "We will kick start the first contract after we have strong logistics for the delivery," he said.
The gold coins contracts would be for June and December, he added.
The turnover of NCDEX stood at Rs 55,069.71 crore till March 15 in the current financial year. Among the traded commodities, soy oil trading surpassed chana with a turnover of Rs 10,736.21 crore. While chana recorded a business of Rs 8,293.83 crore. Source : PTI |
