Cartridge World to expand its India presence
Friday, March 28, 2008 11:30 [IST]

Chennai: Cartridge World, the $450 million Australian printer cartridge chain promoting the concept of refill and reuse cartridge, is expanding its Indian presence, a company official said.

The company will be adding 18 stores to its existing 22 outlets across 15 Indian cities. Opening two stores in Chennai Thursday, Naveen Rakecha, CEO (South Asia) of Cartridge World, said: "The stores will be one-stop shops for all printer needs. The stores will offer services that will include refilling inkjet cartridges and reloading laser cartridges - both backed with money back guarantees, along with printer repairs."

The store will also stock original equipment inkjet and laser cartridges, high quality speciality paper, fax supplies, printers and other office supplies.

According to Rakecha, globally Cartridge World promotes reuse and refilling of cartridges in an organised way, which in turn cuts the customer price.

He said a new cartridge costs Rs 700 and for half that price a Cartridge World refill offers same value.

Cartridge World uses more than 300 inks and cartridge specific treatment for refilling, Rakecha said.
