New Delhi: Information security consulting firm Appin today entered into partnership with global certification firm Intertek to offer software security audit and certification service.
Appin would provide certification under the APPSEC brand, which would be owned by Intertek. "The software certification will give a big boost to Indian IT companies, primarily the one which are into exports of IT products and till now were deprived of selling their products in the global markets due to lack of authentic certification," Appin Director Rajat Khare said.
Appin, which has served IT clients such as Infosys, Quattro, portals such as Yatra, Naukri, Jeevansathi and also the Department of Telecom and CBI, plans to test and certify over 3,000 applications in India in the next three years and is targeting 25 million dollar revenue. The two firms would provide certification service primarily for customer care and billing software, e-Banking, trading, e-Commerce, project management and websites.
