Thursday, March 27, 2008 20:48 [IST]
Mumbai: Reliance Communications, the flagship company of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, and Corporation Bank will provide mobile banking service to their customers.

The service would enable the Corporation Bank account holders use Reliance mobile phones to request for informations on their accounts like balance enquiry, last three transactions, cheque status and funds transfer.

"It is a real boon for our customers. This is simple, customer-friendly and time saving service," said Corporation Bank General Manager B R Bhat while launching the service.

On the occasion, Reliance Communications president (service and content group) Mahesh Prasad said, "The service will build a strong relationship between customers of both Reliance Mobile and Corporation Bank."

Users can avail the facilities of the service by just clicking on Reliance Mobile World on their mobile and choosing the finance section and subsection MBanking. Afterward, they have to select Corporation Bank from the list of banks.

Reliance Communications has already been providing mobile banking services to customers in private banks like ICICI, HDFC, Axis and IDBI, but it is the first time the company is providing such a service to a public sector bank.
