Thursday, March 27, 2008 17:42 [IST]

Cyberjaya (Malaysia): India's IT services provider Satyam Computers today launched a Pega Business Process Management Center of Excellence at its 2000-seat Global Solutions Center here.

The NYSE-listed firm has partnered with US-based business software maker Pegasystems Inc to set up the facility at Cyberjaya, Malaysia's multimedia corridor on the outskirts of Kuala lumpur. "Pega is one of our key practice partners and we are pleased to have them join our Malaysia GSC, a strategic part of our global delivery model," Satyam's director and senior vice president (Asia Pacific, Middle East, India, and Africa) Virender Aggarwal said.

The new facility will develop unique frameworks and methodologies to implement Pega's BPM solutions, which facilitate speedier and more flexible options for development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of business solutions. "The rapid strengthening of our Malaysian operations has bolstered our Global Delivery Model and in turn, our international expansion. Pega will benefit similarly from its participation," Aggarwal said.

"Satyam has consistently proven itself to be a reliable, scalable partner in delivering Pega solutions to our joint customers. This investment by Satyam further complements our growth plans for Asia," Pegasystems Managing Director (Asia Pacific) Luke McCormack said.

"Malaysia is becoming more strategic to our investments in talent development to support our global delivery model... We are extremely impressed by the local talent we have found here," Aggarwal told PTI.
