Tiruchirappalli: The Karur Vysya bank will be launching two new schemes by June.

Bank At Your Doorstep (BATD) and Quick Cash Remittance (QCR), its Chairman P T Kuppuswamy said today.

Under BATD, if a customer wants to deposit money in the bank, he can call up the branch manager and the money would be collected from his home, the Chairman said here at the inauguration of the 285th branch of the bank at Suriyur.

As per the QCR scheme, the customer would have to put the cash he wants to deposit in a cover and give it to the manager and it will be remitted into his account, Kuppuswamy said, adding the handing over of the money to the manager would be recorded on video.

The QCR scheme was under trial at the main branch at Karur and Coimbatore. Bank's business would touch Rs 21,000 crore Rs 12,000 in deposits and Rs 9,000 advances by March end this year, said Kuppuswamy.

It also plans to open three branches including one at Chennai and Hyderabad.
