Andhra Pradesh sees hike in industrial investments

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh State Heavy Industries Minister J Geetha Reddy said the industrial investment in the state has risen by more than Rs 10,000 crores in the last four years.

Talking to reporters here today, she said Andhra Pradesh with excellent infrastructure, water, skilled labour is the entrepreneurs preferred destination.

Replying to a question, the minister said economic doctrine of supply and demand is responsible for the gloom in the state sugar industry.

When product exceeds demand, the glut is detrimental to the interest of the industry, she said adding the government would take steps to revive the sugar industry.
