Chandigarh: Bharti Airtel today announced Japneet Singh, a college student, as winner of the Airtel Festival of India contest with a cash prize of Rs 2,50,000.

The contest was a quiz contest on the most popular festivals in different parts of India. Congratulating the winner, Bharti Airtel Punjab Circle COO (Mobile Services) Sanjay Bahl said, "We are happy that we have been able to bring in a lot of cheer for our customers through these contests which help enhance knowledge and awareness of our customers."

After winning the contest Japneet said, "I participate in most contests of Airtel but this one was very special, not just because I won Rs 2,50,000 but also because I was able to answer most of the questions correctly and that added to my overall confidence in my study and general knowledge capabilities." Talking about what he would do with the prize money, Japneet said, "This is very lucky money and so I intend to invest this in stock market. My father is a share broker and I will take his guidance in investing this judiciously," he added.
