Hexaware Tech FY 07 net at Rs 7.23 cr

Mumbai: Hexaware Technologies today announced a net profit of Rs 7.23 crore for the financial year ended December 31, 2007, a 94.18 per cent decline over the corresponding period a year ago.

The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 124.23 crore for the financial year ended December 31, 2006. The total income of the group rose to Rs 1,068.67 crore in FY 07 from Rs 872.63 crore in the year-ago period, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company announced a stand alone net loss at Rs 10.76 crore for the financial year ended 2007, as against a net profit of Rs 118.66 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The standalone total income of the company rose to Rs 495.74 crore in FY 07 from Rs 461.70 crore in the year-ago period. The company announced a consolidated loss of Rs 81 crore for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2007, as against a net profit of Rs 33.75 crore in the corresponding period previous year.

The consolidated total income of the group rose to Rs 266.46 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 07 from Rs 248.90 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 06. The company announced a standalone loss of Rs 72.92 crore for the fourth quarter of FY 07 as against a net profit of Rs 42.82 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 06. The standalone total income of the firm declined to Rs 134.29 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 07 from Rs 141.38 crore in the corresponding period previous year. Shares of the firm closed at Rs 79.55, up 10.56 per cent on the BSE.
