New Delhi: National Disaster Response Force and Civil Defence (NDRFCD) Chief Koshy will be the new Director General of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD).
A 1973 batch Haryana cadre IPS officer, he will continue to hold the post of Director General, NDRFCD as additional charge.
Koshy succeeds Kiran Bedi as the BPRD chief, official sources said.
Bedi had opted for voluntary retirement in November last year after she could not become the Delhi Police Chief.
Her VRS application was accepted by the Home Ministry on December 24 and the post of BPRD chief was lying vacant since then. Source : PTI |
