Reliance Power gets Krishnapatnam UMPP contract

New Delhi: Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Power today got the contract for 4,000-MW Krishnapatnam ultra mega power project, a letter of intent for which was given by Power Finance Corporation.

The letter of intent for the project, to be set up in Andhra Pradesh, was awarded to Reliance Power on November 30.

The ADA Group firm quoted the lowest tariff of Rs 2.33 per unit for the project.

Reliance Power, which is in the process of getting listed on the bourses, expects to commission the project within 93 months.
