New Delhi: Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel today said it has been recognised as the best brand and best mobile operator at the World Communications Awards 2007.

The Awards are constituted by Total Telecom to acknowledge innovations, achievements and new services of companies in the global communication industry, Airtel said in a statement.

"This awards bears testimony to Airtel s single-minded focus on customer delight, product and service innovation and connectivity," its Mobile Services President Sanjay Kapoor was cited as saying.

The operator was chosen as the Best Brand over Orange, StarHub, iiNet Ltd, TEO LT, AB and the Egyptian company for mobile services, Mobinil.
