3i Infotech bags maximum stake in Linear Financial

Mumbai: Software services firm 3i Infotech Ltd today said it has acquired a majority stake in Delhi-based BPO (Transaction services) Linear Financial Management Systems Pvt Ltd.

"The acquisition is in line with the stated strategy of the company, of expanding its capabilities in the domestic BPO (Transaction services) business in India," 3i Infotech said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange. However, the company did not disclose the financial details of the acquisition.

Linear which carries on its business under the brand name Factoring House. The main business of the company is to provide credit support services to banks and financial organisations. Shares of the company were last trading at Rs 144.30, up 2.74 per cent on the BSE.
