International trade expo to begin in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Almost 100 exhibitors including participants from Pakistan, Switzerland, Holland and Myanmar will showcase their products at an International Trade Expoisition-ITEX 2007, beginning from December 1.

There would be special pavilions to display various industrial segments including agriculture, food processing, farm machinery, textiles, among others, PHD Chamber Vice President Satish Bagrodia told reporters here today.

He added that about 60-70 delegates from Lahore and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce are also expected to take part in this exhibition.

During the five-day long event, special seminars and conferences would be organised to exchange views and share information, he said.

The exhibition is being organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Punjab government.
